Raj Narayan Dube

Rajnarayan Dube (10 October 1910 – 9 December 1990) also known to many, as the founder of Dube Industries and the Co-founder of Bombay Talkies along with Himanshu Rai and Devika Rani was a prominent financier and the strongest corresponding person of the company in the initial stages of Indian Cinema. He together with the duo produced 102 films, introduced more than 280 talents, constructed as many as 400 cinema halls and financed 700 films throughout India, making it the biggest and the most successful movie studio of that period. The company also, known to us as the "pillar of Indian cinema" produced eminent films such as Achhut Kannya, Kangan, Ziddi, Mahal, Light of Asia, Karma, Jeevan Naiya, Mashal, Miya Biwi, Mamta, Izzat, Azaad, Anjaan, Hamari Baat, Prathna, Jhawarbhata, Pratima, Amrapali, Neel Kamal, Bachelor Husband, Tamasha, Mazdoor, Daag, Dhobi Doctor, and many others. Promoted and honoured as the best and the biggest film company of India and Asia, Bombay Talkies created a legacy that many only dreamed could achieve. == Personal life ==
Rajnarayan Dube was born in Kolkata (Calcutta) to a highly valued Brahmin family of Seth Badriprasad Dube and Gayatri Devi on 10 October 1910. He was the youngest of all the siblings. Residing in the vicinity of the Kali Ghat near the riverbanks of Hoogly in Kolkata, Dube family welcomed the birth of their newborn named as Rajnarayan Dube, the man with vision. Having acquired education from the prestigious and the oldest educational institution, The Hindu School, Calcutta, he completed his high school with flying colours.
He then proceeded to Mumbai (Bombay) in search of bigger opportunities and greater prospects. Rajnarayan's father was an extremely hardworking man with immense dedication and passion. With tremendous perseverance he had established his own business that had helped him achieve great heights.
Being a conventional family person, Rajnarayan Dube was married at a very young age to Chabi Dube, the daughter of Shri. Vachaspati Mishra, a renowned face reader. He predicted future of many people in the neighbourhood. He had sighted for Rajnarayan Dube, he had stated that Rajnarayan would achieve immense success & recognition, also proclaiming that he would become a pioneer in the field of business and creativity, and his prophecy came true. Marrying at a young age to a partner with similar religious ideologies and family upbringing he got immense support.
